As part of a major effort to revitalize Boston's Seaport area, massive construction of mixed-used development including work, live, and play themes are underway. Echelon Seaport, a co-operative design by Kohn Pederson Fox and CBT architects will cover an impressive 1.3 million square feet and 3.5 acres located at B Street and Seaport Boulevard in the Seaport. The new development will feature 733 residential condos along with retail, restaurant and office space. 

The construction will consist of three towers with different heights that will work to enhance visual appeal to the skyline of the neighborhood. The combination of glass and masonry on the exterior of the buildings will create the feel of luxury mixed with industrial aesthetics to compliment the area's historic roots. A very important aspect of this development is the addition of community spaces such as a courtyard, recreational areas, and restaurants to promote public interaction which is an exciting introduction to the Seaport.

In fact, 19,000 square feet of space will be dedicated to an attractive courtyard featuring walkways and connections to each building. In addition to that, 125,000 square feet is allotted for retail and restaurant space. To top it all off, Echelon Seaport will feature upwards of 400 luxury condos and 285 luxury apartments providing plenty of residential space to accommodate the influx of new residents the state has experienced as a whole. These new construction condos and apartments will feature terraces, private decks, multiple swimming pools, a wide range of spacious floor plans for new residents to choose from.

Upon its planned completion slated for 2020, Echelon Seaport will take part in the new trend of residential spaces in the neighborhood in stark contrast to its primarily industrial history. Echelon will be the second largest housing development in the neighborhood.
